3 Churches - Worshipping One God....Together

It was great to be a part of the community worship service with Real Life Church and Croossroads Church - Anderson Creek this past Sunday. The theme for the service was " Fear of Change". The Holy Spirit moved and people were changed!
A community outreach was held on Saturday which reached 1500 + people in the Anderson Creek community. The outreach was just about helping our brothers and sisters in the community. It's what Jesus would have us do.
1 John 3:16-17 (The Message)
16-17This is how we've come to understand and experience love: Christ sacrificed his life for us. This is why we ought to live sacrificially for our fellow believers, and not just be out for ourselves. If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God's love? It disappears. And you made it disappear.

Rick Hathaway in da House Sept 27th

My great friend Rick Hathaway will be our guest speaker on Sept 27th. Rick is a minister but also a gifted writer. He is doing a book signing in St Pauls on Monday and so I used this opportunity to get Rick & Deb (his better 1/2) to Church at the Creek (CATC). You can purchase his books at Amazon.com or Books a Million.

Come and be part of CATC and meet Rick Hathaway on Sunday Sept 27th!!

Something New at the Creek!

Hi everyone, Just wanted to let everyone know about the changes coming to the Church at the Creek. As of 09/13/09, I (Jeff Hoglen) will take the lead pastor role at the church. Pastor Sam isnt going anywhere. He will be a teaching pastor at the Creek. Tonya and I are psyched about the potential we have as a local body to make a difference and to make disciples!!

Current Teaching Series: Kaleo - "Called". We had a great service last week as we started a new teaching series based on the Greek word Kaleo which means call or calling. Feedback was good and I hope it will lead to transformation.

October will bring some changes so .....stay tuned.

ONE THING THAT WILL REMAIN THE SAME: Our commitment to love God....our neighbor...and to making a difference in our community and throughout the world.
Oh yeah.... and let's all learn to lighten up....smile.....and let everyone know that it is ok to have a good time at "church"!
